City Cleaner's wet cleaning process is healthy, eco-friendly and effective. We use a water-based process called professional wet cleaning which was developed and tested in Europe almost two decades ago. Our cleaning is a solvent-free process using water and biodegradable soaps & conditioners, that has been proven entirely benign to health and environment.
This process involves sophisticated equipment, specially formulated natural soaps and conditioners that coat and protect fabrics, and extensive expertise that allow us to clean dry clean only clothes in water. When you clean with water, garments get much cleaner, feel softer with no chemical odor, and colors look even brighter.
We don't cut corners! Our carefully monitored, state-of-the-art equipment uses the safest, cleanest and best detergents and products available. A water softening system treats all water used on your clothes. As new and better technologies emerge, we strive to stay on the "cutting edge" in an effort to continually deliver the very best in service with the least impact to our natural resources.

The Advantages of Wet Cleaning
With the sophisticated machinery available today, almost any garment that requires dry cleaning can actually be wet cleaned.
When you have your clothes professionally wet cleaned, they are laundered in a computer-controlled washer that gently clean the clothes. These specialized machines can be accurately programmed, allowing us to control the variables for each wash cycle according to fabric type.
No harsh toxins are required. Water-based stains, which are most common, generally come out with the standard wet-cleaning process. The remaining stains are oil-based and are removed using specialized water-based pre-spotting solutions.
Hangers
City Cleaners has been proactive with regard to recycling long before it was fashionable and for years we have encouraged customers to recycle hangers. We make the program simple with recycling containers right up front so customers are aware of the program. It's easy to drop off hangers which have been collecting in closets.
Biodegradable Bags
With our recycling program in addition to our technological advancements, City Cleaners strongly believes that managing natural resources is both a responsibility and obligation.
Our auto bagger measures your garments and cuts the plastic protective covering to exactly size of your garments. This cuts down on plastic waste helping the environment.
We encourage hanger and plastic recycling even if the plastic or hangers come from another cleaner. And, while most cleaners use non-recyclable plastic bags, we exclusively use a recyclable poly bag made from 100% biodegradable materials.
